You know you have great clients when they come back for round 2! Several years ago, Dr. Nicole Culos-Reed and Dr. Lauren Capozzi hired me to help them create a brand, identity, and website for their new business, Thrive Health Services. Nicole and Lauren are experts in the field of exercise and cancer but at the time their business offered several other products too.
The partners have busy careers as a university professor (Nicole) and an M.D. (Lauren) and realized they wanted to focus the business around their flagship product, an online course for health and fitness professionals, teaching them how to safely offer exercise options to cancer survivors.
It was also very important to offer free resources to cancer survivors, keeping with the overarching mission to get exercise into the practice of everyone dealing with a cancer diagnosis.
Given the pivot in the business, it was a good time to redesign.
Thrive Health’s brand was still solid thanks to the strategy work we’d done originally, but they wanted to remove “Services” from their logo to reflect the pivot in the business. We refreshed the logo into a square shape, more suitable for social media usage, and introduced a stronger, more solid typeface.
The highlight of the Thrive Health site is a long-form sales page for their flagship product, Cancer and Exercise Training.
The design features custom photos taken specifically for this project, featuring real Thrivers (the name given to Thrive Health’s cancer survivors). This reinforced the mission that cancer survivors can and do benefit greatly from an exercise program and gave Nicole and Lauren yet another opportunity to walk their talk.
The copy was written by the talented Natalie Taylor of The Missing Ink, who also created the name for the proprietary framework, The Thrive 5. By branding the framework, Nicole and Lauren now have the opportunity to certify those who successfully complete the program as, “Thrive 5 Certified”.
This is OUTSTANDING! I can’t believe how well you translated our ideas into key messages and an action plan for moving forward. I love all of the ideas and can’t wait to go through this in more detail.
It is so nice to have this structure that helps to support our thoughts and how we can best take steps towards our goals (otherwise we get lost with so many great ideas and plans… and not a clear strategy!).
THANK YOU!! I’m so glad we are working with you 🙂
