About this Project
UBC Thunderbirds is the sports organization at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC. As part of their mission to market and promote the school’s athletic program, the Thunderbirds marketing team decided to create a series of large-scale murals to be permanently attached to the venues where the teams play.
Basketball, volleyball, and ice hockey were chosen as spotlights along with one collaged banner featuring every Thunderbird sport. Murals feature player alumni in action photographs taken from actual games, combined with the name “UBC Thunderbirds”. Murals range in height from 16’ to 24’ tall.
